Brain Emoji

No setlist. No roadmap. No idea what’s about to happen.

Brain Emoji is four sonic shapeshifters who improvise their way through post-rock textures, ambient electronica, experimental jazz freakouts, and antic-laced performance art—often all within the same set.

Formed in 2018 when Joe Marcinek and Mike Bryant were struck by the same bolt of light, the band eventually stabilized its rotating portal with the arrival of Vinny Svoboda and Jamie Newitt. Live shows are ritual chaos: music from nowhere, antics from everywhere.

The audience is often unsure if it’s part of the band. It is.

Together, they conjure genre-fluid performances that veer between chaos and catharsis. You might hear echoes of something familiar—or nothing you’ve ever heard before. They’ve shared the stage with members of The Heavy Pets, Particle, and Mike Dillon, yet remain unmistakably themselves.

Brain Emoji worships HIM, a one-eyed peach, and believes novelty is sacred. Expect the unexpected. All minds welcome.
